After researching on the internet and looking in shops I can see that there are magazines for a lot of genres, however one genre which there is hardly any magazines is Dubstep. Dubstep is a new genre however it is becoming very big and popular, therefore is the perfect time to release a new magazine for the genre with information on new releases, exclusive artist interviews, tour dates etc. I will research lots of different genre music magazines so that I can see common trends and patterns in them.
For those who don't know Dubstep is an underground genre started in london clubs, it is composed on computers using samples and simulation software. It mainly consists of a strong bassline and the rest is sampled on top. However there are 2 types of dubstep, one is the heavy up beat style which is the hardcore dance and rave, then there is the slow downbeat style which is more like trance music. It is an electronic style of music and is becoming a very popular genre in the younger generation internationally.
